Statue - WU 150 Ichabod Series
In
celebration of the WU Sesquicentennial in 2015,
The Washburn University
foundation has commissioned a series of three statues available in
limited editions.
Number ONE in the series represents the original
design created by Bradbury Thompson that appeared in the Kaw yearbook
in 1938.
Created by artist Jerry Lobato of Kansas City, MO, in a limited
edition of 250, the figure is fabricated in resin, finished to look
like bronze.
Size is approximately 5.5" tall, 5.5" wide, 3" deep.
Number
TWO of three is an art deco interpretation, designed by Bradbury
Thompson in 1938,
to demonstrate how the Ichabod could be adapted to any
age.
